DPM-8294 Solvent-based Polyester Modified Silicone Resin

Overview

DPM-8294 is a solvent-based silicone resin with a silicone content of 30%. It exhibits excellent high and low-temperature resistance as well as hydrophobic and moisture-proof properties. It also offers superior weather resistance and chemical stability. After full curing, it achieves high hardness (≥5H), high gloss, good fullness, and does not yellow at high temperatures. It possesses a high level of heat resistance.

DPM-8294 can be used to prepare high-temperature resistant coatings, such as heat-resistant non-stick coatings for kitchen appliances, hair straightener coatings, coil coatings, and as a base resin for specialty coatings.

Application area

1. High-temperature resistant coatings, hair straightener coatings, coil coatings, specialty coatings, etc.

2. Baking cure. Recommended curing condition: 250℃ for 20 minutes. Can be compounded with 10-15% amino resin (based on the mass of 8294).

3. The diluting solvent used must be free of water, sulfur compounds, pyridine, and their impurities. PMA solvent is recommended; Xylene solvent is prohibited.

4. During processing, large amounts of flammable and explosive solvents will evaporate. Ensure adequate ventilation, fire prevention, and strictly eliminate ignition sources. Operators should pay attention to labor protection.

5. Equipment and utensils used during processing must be clean. Strictly prevent dust, foreign matter, and water contamination.

6. Acids, alkalis, organic acid salts, and amine compounds accelerate the curing of this product and affect its heat resistance and electrical properties.

Safety, Packaging and Storage

1. Store in a cool, ventilated place at 5-35°C, avoiding direct sunlight, and keep in a sealed container. Under original packaging conditions, shelf life is 6 months. Prevent acid and alkali contamination, and isolate from fire and heat sources.

2. Packaging: 20KG or 200KG iron drums.
