DPM-290 Solvent-free silicone waterproofing agent
Overview
- DPM-290 is a solvent-free silicone waterproofing agent formulated from a mixture of silane and siloxane. In various buildings and structures, corrosion of concrete and substrates caused by moisture, chemical contamination, salt exposure, and freeze-thaw cycles often shortens their service life. As a silicone-based waterproofing agent, DPM-290 delivers exceptional penetration and thermal insulation properties while maintaining surface smoothness. Through deep penetration, it forms a robust bonded waterproof layer that significantly enhances the durability of building materials.

Product Features
- Fast-drying, exhibiting excellent water droplet effect after curing with moisture at room temperature.
- Excellent waterproof performance, preventing adhesive substances and dust from adhering to the substrate.
- Excellent substrate penetration and insulation properties
- Prevent discoloration and fading of the substrate
- Enhance the weather resistance and wear resistance of the substrate
Application Area
Primarily through infiltration, this method effectively prevents rainwater from penetrating the wall surface over an extended period while allowing for normal water vapor exchange.
- concrete
- cement(-sand) mortar,
- Sand and lime bricks, mineral mortar, mineral coatings
- Natural and artificial stone, fiber cement board, masonry
Usage Recommendations
DPM-290 must be diluted with a solvent before use. Suitable solvents include gasoline, toluene, xylene, or isomerized alkane solvents with low odor intensity, at a dilution ratio of approximately 1:11 to 1:19 by weight.
Before use, remove foreign objects from the substrate surface, fill and repair cracks on the substrate surface, allow drying for 3–4 days, then apply the diluted product by brushing or airless spraying onto the substrate.
remarks:
- Regardless of the method selected, the diluent must reach saturation on the substrate surface to meet permeation requirements. For optimal results, it is strongly recommended to conduct a small-area test first.
- A single application should be effective; however, for porous substrates, a second coat may be applied after the first coat no longer provides a glossy finish.
A dilution solution with 6% active content per kilogram should be used in approximate quantities ranging from 0.2 to 2 kilograms per square meter, depending on the permeability and absorption capacity of the substrate.
