Overview

• DPM-2516 is a high-performance modified silane powder treatment agent suitable for the surface treatment of inorganic materials. The treated powder can be used in solvent-based and solvent-free coating/ink systems, as well as in epoxy and polyurethane potting compound systems. This treatment agent contains urethane-based organic structures, ensuring excellent miscibility with most resins and providing superior compatibility, thereby enhancing the adhesion between inorganic powders and organic resins. It is particularly suitable for epoxy systems, as it can participate in the epoxy resin cross-linking process and exert a catalytic effect.

Application Area

For optimal performance, the dispersant should be added first to the grinding material before incorporating the pigments and fillers. Alternatively, the powder can be treated using a wet processing method before being mixed with the organic resin. The exact dosage should be determined based on the particle size of the pigments and fillers; please conduct laboratory tests to ascertain this value.

•  Silica Matting Agent treatment: Recommended addition rate: 5.0–20.0%; features: viscosity reduction and anti-sedimentation effects.
•  Inorganic pigments treatment: Recommended addition rate: 3.0–10.0%; features: excellent dispersion stability and anti-sedimentation performance.
•  Metal powder treatment: Recommended addition level: 3.0–5.0%; Key benefits: reduces system viscosity and improves powder particle arrangement.

Safety, Packaging and Storage

• Store at a temperature between 5°C and 35°C in a cool, well-ventilated place, within the original packaging. The shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Please follow the storage instructions and expiration date information printed on the packaging. Keep away from fire, heat sources, and food.
