DPM-8571 Water-based wetting and dispersing agent
Overview
- DPM-8571 is a VOC-free wetting and dispersing agent suitable for water-based coatings, printing inks, and adhesives; it can also be used in resin-free pigment concentrates. It demonstrates excellent stability when used with carbon black and organic pigments, enables an increased pigment loading in formulations, reduces system viscosity, enhances color intensity and film gloss, while ensuring good flowability of the coating system.

Application Area
- This product is suitable for various water-based coatings and ink systems; to achieve optimal performance, the wetting and dispersing agent should be added to the grinding medium. For resin-free grinding processes, water, a cosolvent, and additives should be pre-mixed under stirring before the pigment is added; for resin-containing grinding processes, the resin, water, cosolvent, and additives should be thoroughly mixed before the pigment is added.
- The recommended addition amount is as follows: the exact addition amount should be determined based on the pigment particle size and laboratory testing.
| Pigment filler | Dispersant dosage |
| organic pigment | 10-30% |
| inorganic pigment | 5-15% |
| TiO2 | 2-10% |
| black pigment | 15-40% |
- Note: The heavy metal content is as follows (typical values; not the product’s technical specifications)
| content | Sb | As | Ba | Cd | Cr | Pb | Hg | Se | Zn |
