DPM-2002  Water-based silicone emulsion

Overview

• DPM-2002 is a multifunctional polydimethylsiloxane-based waterproof silicone emulsion with excellent hydrophobic properties, capable of effectively preventing rainwater or flowing water from damaging walls over extended periods while maintaining the “breathing” function of the substrate surface. It is suitable for waterproofing architectural walls or other building substrates.
• It is suitable for a wide range of substrates and maintains hydrophobic properties for an extended period after drying and film formation. With high reactivity, it is recommended for use on natural gravel, limestone surfaces, as well as cement, plaster, brick surfaces, and water-based products. It is non-toxic, odorless, non-irritating to the human body, and harmless.

Usage Recommendations

DPM-2002 must be diluted with water before use; it can be diluted 3 to 15 times by weight, thoroughly mixed, and then applied by brushing or spraying. For porous substrates, the dilution ratio should be adjusted to achieve optimal hydrophobic effects.

Cleanliness: Remove stains from the substrate surface before use; acidic or alkaline cleaning agents are prohibited. If a cleaning agent is used, rinse it off with water prior to application.

Drying: After rainfall, the material must be dried for at least 24 hours. Even if the substrate surface is washed with water, it still requires natural drying for 24 hours. (Heating-based drying may also be employed.)

Leveling: Remove dust and foreign particles from the substrate surface, and fill any surface cracks.

remarks：

1. Regardless of the method employed, the diluent must reach saturation on the substrate surface to meet permeation requirements; for waterproof products, a depth of 30–40 mm is required. For optimal results, it is strongly recommended to conduct a preliminary test on a small area first.
2. A single application should be effective; however, for porous substrates, a second coat may be applied once the surface no longer shines after the first application.

Safety, Packaging and Storage

• Store between 2°C and +30°C in the original packaging. Has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production. Follow the storage instructions and expiration date information on the packaging.
